As we organise more and more fundraising events we are increasingly aware of how complicated and time consuming it can be to sort out the sponsorship money.
We’ve often thought, ‘boy, it would be so much easier if this could be done online’.
Well now it can! Daisy Chain has joined ‘Justgiving’, a website which offers easy and more efficient ways to donate and raise money for charity.
Here’s how :
• Visit www.justgiving.com
• Under charities search for ‘Daisy Chain’.
• Click on Daisy Chain Project.
• Click ‘donate’ to make a one-off contribution.
• Click ‘raise money’ to create your own fundraising page! It’s fun, free and should take about 5 minutes.
Then, once you’ve created your page, add a personal message asking for people to sponsor you.
Finally, email it to everyone in your address book – wherever they are in the world. You can raise money from family and friends in Australia, Canada, the USA, ANYWHERE!!!
There’s no more running around with sponsorship forms, chasing people to collect the money and ensuring it gets to us safely.
Justgiving sends us the money directly, and even adds Gift Aid of 28% to the amount raised by all UK taxpayers. You don’t have to do a thing!
