Change at the top as Daisy Chain names new Chief Executive

10-10-2013 11:40 by Sarah Kirkman

There is a new face at the head of the Teesside-based charity Daisy Chain.

The Board of Trustees have appointed Judith Simpson to take over as Chief Executive following the resignation of Matt Simpson who has been involved with the organisation since it began ten years ago.

The move ensures a smooth transition of power, as Ms Simpson has also been involved in Daisy Chain since its inception.

Albert Dicken, who is Chair of the Trustees at the charity which supports families affected by autism:

“I would like to place on record my thanks to Matt, our success is due in no small part to his efforts over the years. We wish him well in his future.

“But all organisations go through change and Daisy Chain is no exception. I remain wholly committed to the vision that originated with the late founder Lesley Hanson.

“I am looking forward to working alongside Judith and we are keen to move forward and further develop Daisy Chain to meet the needs of our families across the Tees Valley.”
