160 Mile Cycle Challenge
Bell Truck & Van complete challenge to raise funds for a trike.
Please help them reach their target and buy a trike by going to their JustGiving page.

Employees from Bell Truck & Van, the Mercedes-Benz sales firm, completed their gruelling 160 mile cycle challenge. They started on Friday June 24th, travelling from Scotland to South Northumberland. They then travelled 50 miles on the Saturday to Birtley with a additional 50 miles on the Sunday finishing at Daisy Chain.

Justine, the corporate fundraiser for Daisy Chain, said " We are so grateful to all the riders for taking part in such a fantastic challenge on our behalf. Riding 160 in only three days is not an easy quest, as it is demanding both mentally and physically."

The riders received a "heroes" welcome from members of staff and Daisy Chain families when they arrived at the farm.

Jeff Gibbon, group parts and marketing manager at Bell Truck & Van, who took part in the charity challenge, said:

“As we are a North East family-owned business we feel it’s important to support the local community and this charity cycle has given us a great opportunity to help families affected by Autism and special needs. We’d like to thank all our friends and family for sponsoring us."

The money raised will be used to buy a trike for Daisy Chain. Please visit their JustGiving page to help them reach their target £8000.
