Wynyard Old Boys raise money for Daisy Chain

26-07-2012 10:10

Wynyard Old Boys have held a charity golf day in aid of Daisy Chain, which has raised over £7000.

Jim Mongan, member of Wynyard Golf Committee, said: “A great day was had by all and we had the bonus of enjoying perfect golfing weather on a Wynyard course that is at its best. Our appreciation and thanks go to all our hole, team sponsors and donors for their generosity and financial support in helping us raise £7,000, a figure way beyond our original expectations.”

During the past three years, the club have raised in excess of £27,000 for charitable causes and continued to support worth causes in the Tees Valley.

Matt Simpson, Chief Executive at Daisy Chain, presented the club with a painting by Sophie Bodocs , one of the children who uses Daisy Chain as a way of recognising the club’s support.

Daisy Chain is a haven for families affected by autism in the Tees Valley. Daisy Chain provides a range of services, including support and activity groups for the whole family. We believe that Daisy Chain makes a demonstrable, significant and sustainable difference to the lives of the hundreds families across the Tees Valley.
