As a Volunteer

We have volunteers who commit from once a day to once a year in a variety of roles to suit them, so if you are interested please get in touch

Here's how you may be able to help;

Children's Activities
As you can imagine we're always looking for willing volunteers to help with our busy programme of activities, especially in the school holidays.

Fundraising
This is the most important thing we do and we are always ready to welcome helpers. If you could spend an hour or two every now and then on one of our stalls at various fund raising events, if you could occasionally deliver leaflets or just help with the occasional bag pack or street collection from time to time, we'd love to hear from you. And we're always on the look out for new ideas! You could be even more valuable if you have a fund raising idea that no one else has thought of - we'd love to hear it!

Animal Care
Why not commit a little time to help with our animals, there's always plenty to do to ensure everything is healthy, clean and tidy.

D.I.Y.
Our farm buildings need plenty of helping hands to keep running smoothly. There is always a door or a wall to paint, a spot of decorating, a bit of light building work or maybe some plastering to be done. From time to time we could use a hand with some heavier tasks. Whether you're happy doing small odd-jobs or wouldn't mind tackling something more challenging, we could certainly use your help.

Gardening
Our extensive grounds at the farm always need tending. Lawns need cutting, borders need weeding and compost heaps need managing. If you are the green-fingered type do get in touch.

Arts and Crafts
Do you knit, sew, embroider, bake fantastic cakes or scones? If your handiwork is good enough to be put up for sale on one of our fundraising stalls please get in touch.

Domestic
We always need people who are happy to spend an hour with the vacuum cleaner, a duster or lending a hand with the washing up.

Hospitality
Every Thursday of the month during term time our parents' support group, "Links", meets at the farm where we give them a warm welcome and a cup of tea and on the first Thursday of the month we give them a buffet lunch. If helping out sounds like your cup of tea, please get in touch.

Whatever your skills, whatever you can offer - even if it is just your time - contact us at Daisy Chain and we can help you make a difference!
