To celebrate National Volunteers’ Week, we are orgainising two special volunteer sessions to promote our roles and opportunities. The sessions will give you the chance to experience, first hand volunteering at Daisy Chain – and also have some fun along the way.

Tuesday 4th June 10am
Daisy Chain Day Centre and Farm
Come and take a look around the Day Centre, which is the central point of all activity at Daisy Chain; the classroom, soft play area and experience the sensory rooms and IT suite. We will also have a tour of the site, which, as a special treat for National Volunteers’ Week, will include feeding the animals on the farm, helping out in the gardens and helping to start a conservation project in the wetlands and forest school.
Wednesday 5th June 11am
Superstore, Portrack Lane
Come join in the fun at our Superstore where we will be celebrating National Volunteers’ Week with some tasty treats for all volunteers! You can have a go at sorting through the donations, working on the tills, accepting deliveries, building furniture, displaying new stock, window displays, arranging books & DVDs.
Also as part of Volunteers’ Week, I will be at the Volunteers’ Market on Monday June 3, 10am-3pm on Stockton High Street, where visitors can find out more about the services Daisy Chain offers for families affected by autism and the volunteering opportunities available with us.

Later in the week there will also be a celebration event for all Daisy Chain volunteers to recognise their dedication, hard work and generosity in giving their time.
