It is with a degree of sadness that I write my last update as Daisy Chain’s Chief Executive.

It has been an exciting 15 years to see the vision of Lesley Hanson develop and to see the difference Daisy Chain has made to so many families.

In 2004 we were supporting 50 families and now we are supporting over 1800 families, which is an amazing achievement and really demonstrates how great the need is.

To go from a volunteer to a Chief Executive has been an honour. I believe Daisy Chain has been so successful because of our fantastic community that has got behind the charity and supported us every step of the way. By supporting our families our community becomes a better place for families affected by autism.

Daisy Chain is unique because we support the whole family and it’s not just for support as we also provide an appropriate environment for the family to just spend time. We do however, still need to grow further to help our families more and to support more families. This will be the job of the new Chief Executive, Stuart Dexter and I wish him all the best as I hand over the reigns of Daisy Chain.

For those of you who have supported Daisy Chain I thank you for your support and please continue to do so as we do need to do more.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in my role; it has been very much appreciated and together we have achieved so much. I have had an amazing experience and I am looking forward to my next adventure in the Coach Industry.
