On Tuesday 16th February 2017, eight staff from Interserve’s Stockton Infrastructure office provided assistance to the Daisy Chain Charity Superstore. Staff participated in the Give a Day of Your Time (GADOYT) scheme for the Interserve Employee Foundation. This was a great opportunity to give back to the local community and contribute to the quality of life of children and families affected by autism.
The Interserve team provided help with sorting through donated bags of filled with items such as clothes and toys for selling in the store. The Daisy Chain charity Superstore opened in May 2014 and helps to provide funds to support families affected by autism in the Tees Valley. The store receives in excess of 175 bags of donations with approximately 30-40 van collections each week, so they were very appreciative of the extra help. The Daisy Chain Project were grateful for the support and thanked everyone involved in the day; Chris Timms, Cole Henderson, Stuart Dyke, Rebecca Gartland, Chris O’Brien, Chris Wilson and Dan McFarlane.
