Hello! Welcome to our new website! We hope that you have found it useful so far, whether you’re a returning visitor or brand new to Daisy Chain! We thought we’d give you a little insight into what we’ve done with the site and the steps we’ve taken to improve it for service users and supporters alike.

When the designing stage began, our concept was to create a site that was fresh, modern, and easy to navigate, which would allow visitors to see at a glance just what we do here at Daisy Chain.

Throughout the whole process, our families have been at the forefront of our minds. For new parents, we know that it can be such an emotional rollercoaster going through the diagnostic process, and trying to find out where they can access support can be a difficult and sometimes daunting task. With this in mind, we have put together our FAQs section for families undergoing diagnosis, to give parents an idea of what to expect, what the first steps are to take and where to contact for advice, help and support.

For families who have already visited us and know about our services, we wanted to have a dedicated section where parents could see all our planned activities for the coming week. Our “What’s On This Week” page provides details of each of the clubs, groups and activity days scheduled for the coming week, including any holiday activities and trips, allowing parents to simply have a quick peek on that page and find out all the information that they need.

We’ve also tried to split the site into different sections to make it easy to find what you’re looking for – from the Superstore area to pages about fundraising and how to get involved, our aim is to make finding your way around our site clear and simple.

We’ve also introduced a brand new area – our staff profiles! We felt that by introducing pictures of staff and a little information about each person, you could all get to know us a bit better before meeting with us. Also, for any children who may be visiting us for the first time, there would then be some familiar faces for them when they arrive!

As you can imagine, our profiles concept was a real hit with staff, and they all LOVED having their photos taken – so much so, that we wanted to give you a sneak peek behind the scenes of some of our “photo-shoots.” As you can see, a few really got into the spirit and channelled their inner Naomi Campbell…

It’s taken a few months of training, brainstorming, information gathering and hard work to get here, but we think it’s all been worth it – we hope you do too!
