This one day course is suitable for those who may train or lead other staff in their early years setting, whether they personally work directly with young children on the autism spectrum or not. This helps them to lead their staff in the understanding of autism and creating an outstanding early years setting.
The aims of the course are to:
- enhance staff knowledge and understanding of good autism practice
- help staff question, evaluate and develop practice within their setting
- provide staff with the tools to evaluate their own knowledge of autism, to audit staff training needs and to gain an overview of whole setting practice using the Early Years Autism Standards and competency frameworks
You can download the Leading good autism practice booklet.
