About us Our Patrons and Trustees Edwin Pugh MBE Edwin has been involved in charitable work and organisations for most of his working life. The opportunity to be part of the Daisy Chain "journey" as a trustee was one he was excited to accept. He saw that Daisy Chain had a wonderful reputation and a clear vision to help young people with autism and their families - it was a vision that he felt privileged to be asked to be part of.As Daisy Chain continues to expand its services of care and training in the Tees Valley area, Edwin feels that being part of these developments gives great fulfilment to him, both professionally and personally. As a medical doctor, Edwin has had a varied career as a general practitioner, public health doctor, overseas charitable doctor, director of public health and a consultant in palliative medicine. He has lived in the same home for over 30 years and has a strong affinity for the Tees Valley area.Edwin counts his main achievements as being part of a team improving care and quality of life for individuals and families both in the UK and overseas, where he has a longstanding involvement with Cambodia.Spare time for Edwin revolves around mundane but important matters of home, family, friends and church. An area of interest to him is local mining art, inspired by growing up in a mining village with grandparents and other family members involved in the mining world.
