Learning Workshops for Personal Assistants (PA)

FreeAre you a Personal Assistant (PA) or carer for an autistic person or loved one? Our free learning workshops and support forums are designed specifically for you to give you the knowledge and confidence to best support them.
The sessions are facilitated by the Autism Central North East and Yorkshire team, based at Daisy Chain. Each learning workshop has a topic and opportunity questions, and the support forums are designed as a safe space for you to connect with others, share advice and good practice, from strategies to affordable activities in your local area.

- Thursday 16th November / 3pm – 4pm / Introduction to Autism (PA’s only)
- Tuesday 21st November / 1pm – 2pm / PA support session
- Tuesday 5th December / 1pm – 2pm / Introduction to Autism (PA’s only)
Sessions are free to attend, held virtually and delivered as part of the Autism Central programme. Autism Central offers families and carers of autistic people high-quality and easily accessible autism education, training, and support through peer educators, alongside a dedicated website. Peer educators are autistic people, and parents and carers of autistic people, who have been trained to support other families.
