Job Summary

Working with the Head of Development and Economic Generation you will identify and develop new and existing opportunities for future strategic partnerships. This role will play a pivotal role in diversifying and strengthening the charity’s income streams which in turn helps provide vital front-line autism services.

You will be responsible for the contractual management and reporting of all new and existing grants, funded programmes and service contracts.

The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Development and Economic Generation and will work with them to identify and implement a strategy for key income streams for DC including but not limited to: trusts and foundations, local authorities’ corporate partners and entrepreneurial opportunities. Working across all aspects of Business Development, you will lead on the growth and development of fledgling initiatives, taking them from pilot projects to established services.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with Head of Development and Economic Generation to build upon and grow existing and new funded services and enterprise
  • To assist the Head of Business Development and Economic Generation to implement the agreed income strategy including but not limited to: trusts and foundations, local authorities and corporate partners and entrepreneurial opportunities
  • To work with staff from across the organisation in order cultivate, and design funded services and processes
  • To support new cross departmental projects and fledgling services into mainstream delivery
  • To ensure funding reports are completed in a timely fashion to meet annual targets and effectively manage budgets
  • To maintain administrative systems for all activity so relationships can be monitored and maintained
  • To prepare partner agreements where appropriate
  • To submit planning applications when appropriate
  • Ensure timely delivery of grant thank you letters/receipts to funders
  • Liaise with Finance Department to monitor and track grants received, ensuring funds are drawn down when applicable and that accurate evidence of grant expenditure provided
  • Liaise with Fundraising and Communications Department to ensure appropriate publicity is given and that contact with funders and potential funders is in line with the work of this department
  • To work with key Daisy Chain personnel to ensure new projects are established correctly and according to any funding requirements and/or terms and conditions
  • To work with the Operations Team to ensure that all Daisy Chain projects make use of appropriate and well-maintained facilities

Experience

  • Experience in writing reports for funders -E,A&T
