Awareness and learning workshops will be delivered by Daisy Chain’s dedicated training team who between them have a wealth of knowledge and experience in autism and related neurodiversities and are in a position to start delivering most of the sessions immediately. All of Daisy Chain’s training packages have been co-produced with autistic or neurodivergent individuals and many of our trainers also have their own lived experiences.

There are 3 types of awareness and learning workshops:

Autism Awareness Training for Parents

These sessions have been designed to increase parents confidence in their ability to support their child by ensuring they develop an understanding of individual needs and behaviors alongside the strategies that can be used to support them.

Good Autism Practice Training for Professionals

In this training, we take delegates through some of the distinct needs, strengths and difficulties that autistic children share, whilst helping delegates to take note of individual differences. Participants are given the opportunity to start thinking about a particular autistic child and their needs, along with ways in which they can adjust and adapt their own practice and the environment. This training is Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited.

Train the Trainer course for Early Help Staff

The aim of this ‘train the trainer’ course will be to ensure Early Help staff feel confident in their own understanding of autism and their ability to provide autism awareness training sessions to parents and carers.
