Daisy Chain volunteer Melannie Bolton

Melannie Bolton decided to volunteer at Daisy Chain because she wanted to make a difference to children with autism.

Her role at Daisy Chain is to help out at fundraising events and she thoroughly enjoys it because no two events are the same and she says there is always something different going on and she is learning new skills including increasing her own confidence.

Says Melannie, 'I would like to say a personal big thank you to all the staff at Daisy Chain for an amazing first year of volunteering. My confidence has grown and my self-esteem, I am proud of who I am and I wouldn’t be that person if it wasn’t for Daisy Chain.'

Melannie's Grandma Joy has also watched as her granddaughter has grown and thrived since volunteering, she says, 'Volunteering at Daisy Chain has been great for Melannie, she has so much more confidence and is much more outgoing.’
