Schools support

The aim of the service is to up skill schools with the skills to support those displaying traits associated with or have a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition including: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The involves working in partnership with schools offering free training opportunities.


A member of the family support team will also have capacity to offer group sessions with children and young people aged 5-18 years who display traits associated with or have a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition including: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

These sessions will provide tailored support around awareness, understanding and coping with their difficulties. There is also the opportunity to offer group sessions to siblings of those display traits associated with or have a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition including: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These sessions will focus on awareness, understanding and coping strategies to use when living with a sibling that has a neurodevelopmental condition.
