Raise awareness of autism by taking part in our World Autism Awareness Week campaign.
We’ve moved our awareness campaign online! But don’t worry, there are still plenty of ways in which you can gather your friends and family online, support our campaign and raise awareness of autism, with your support even more vital to us now than it has ever been before!
We’ve come up with a few different ideas of how you can still get involved:
- Five for £5 – Active for Autism – take on our 5 exercise challenge, post on social media (don’t forget the hashtags #dcactiveforautism and #WorldAutismAwarenessWeek) and donate to Daisy Chain
- Virtual quiz – for all those quiz fans out there who are missing your pub and general knowledge quizzes, we’ve got you covered with a quiz each night of the week!
Take part and make a donation to Daisy Chain to help us raise much needed funds for families affected by autism.
- £25 can pay for a new family appointment, providing families the opportunity to discuss the services and support available to them. For many families, this is a huge, important step as for many, they have felt isolated and on their own dealing with the challenges that their family is facing.
- £150 can pay for a one to one session for a child with complex needs, giving them a bespoke personal development and therapeutic package to support their individual and personal needs. The sessions include a variety of strategies including working within the natural environment encouraging curiosity and an intrinsic desire to learn and discover. This enhances engagement and communication and includes the opportunity to work towards recognised AQA awards.
