Get festive and have fun while raising funds this Christmas for families affected by autism…
We are appealing for businesses, community groups, offices, supermarkets, organisations, groups of friends to don something festive and help raise vitally needed funds.
Getting involved is simple – just slip on the Santa Suit, elf yourself or accessorise with antlers on Friday December 8, make a donation to us and send in your pictures to make a splash on social media.
Throughout the day we will be posting updates on social media from supporters who are fundraising using the hashtag #WearItFestive.
£40 can fund a social club session for a child with autism, £75 will pay for a short break session, £500 will facilitate one-to-one sessions for four children with severe autism.
Kate and Craig Alewood’s son George was diagnosed with autism when he was three and they have been visiting Daisy Chain since 2011. Kate said: ‘Daisy Chain is our favourite place – we love it. I don’t know what we would do without it; we can’t go to mainstream places. They’re busy and unpredictable, and there are too many people.’
Stuart Dexter, chief executive of Daisy Chain said:
This is a great way to get festive, have fun with your, friends, colleagues and team and help support families who need the services of Daisy Chain. All the team here will be getting involved and I will be wearing a novelty Christmas jumper on a theme close to my heart of course, but you’ll have to wait and see what that is.
